Central Alberta landowners question water use for fracking
Ranchers and residents in central Alberta are concerned about the volume of water used for fracking during years of dry weather and drought. They are also concerned that companies are seeking fresh groundwater from the same source as drinking-water wells. The Blindman River Watershed Society was formed after Lloyd Creek, a tributary of the Blindman River, dried up three years ago.
